Dr. Abdoul Karim Kabèlè-Camara

Dr. Kabèlè-Camara is a lawyer specializing in natural resources law with more than a decade of expertise in the extractives sector. He has wide-ranging legal and public affairs experience working at the African Development Bank (AfDB) within the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) where he assisted African governments with negotiating complex commercial transactions in energy, mining, and oil & gas. Prior to joining Fortuna in 2024, he was the Director of Legal Affairs for Endeavour Mining Plc for West Africa. 

Dr. Kabèlè-Camara holdsa Ph. D on “Share-Used Mining Infrastructure Development and Regulation in Sub-Saharan Africa” obtained at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) of the University of Dundee in Scotland, United Kingdom. He also holds an LLM (DEA) in Private Law from the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (Senegal), an LLM in African Business Community Law from the “Institut de Droit Communautaire” (IDC) of Côte d’Ivoire affiliated with the University of Bouaké, and finally a double LLM in Mining Law and Sustainable Development, and LLM in Petroleum Taxation and Finance obtained from CEPMLP of the University of Dundee.
