Luiz Camargo

Luiz Camargo joined Fortuna Mining Corp. in 2017 and serves as Country Head of Monumental Minerals S.A. de C.V., Fortuna’s Mexican subsidiary representing the Company’s interests in Mexico. Until April 2025, he led Compañía Minera Cuzcatlán S.A. de C.V., operator of the San Jose Mine in Oaxaca, prior to its divestment by Fortuna. Previously, Luiz served as Director of Finance and Corporate Affairs at Cuzcatlán through 2019. He brings more than 40 years of international experience across primary industries, including mining, steel, cement, and paper. Throughout his career, Luiz has held senior leadership roles with multinational organizations, including Corporación Moctezuma in Mexico City and Anglo American plc, with postings in London, São Paulo, and Luxembourg. He is a certified public accountant with a degree in Financial Administration from Campos Salles University in Brazil and holds a diploma from the Top Management Program at IPADE in Mexico. Since 2022, Luiz has served as a member of the Board of the Mexican Mining Chamber.
