David Whittle

David Whittle joined Fortuna Mining Corp. in July 2021 and held the position of Vice President Operations – West Africa until September 2022. He has more than 30 years of mining operations experience across several commodities and locations including the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Saudi Arabia, and Russia. Since 2019 David has been responsible for the operational performance of the Yaramoko Mine in Burkina Faso where he implemented strategies to lower costs and improve efficiency. He has a BSc in Mining from the University of Staffordshire and a Master of Enterprise degree from Melbourne University.
