Luiz Camargo

Luiz Camargo joined Fortuna Mining Corp. in 2017 and is the Country Head at Compañía Minera Cuzcatlán S.A. de C.V., the Mexican subsidiary of Fortuna that operates our San Jose Mine in Oaxaca. Prior to that, Luiz was Cuzcatlán’s Director of Finance and Corporate Affairs until 2019. He has over 40 years of extensive global experience related to primary industries in mining, steel, cement and paper. Luiz has held senior positions in several multinational companies, including Corporación Moctezuma in Mexico City, and Anglo American plc in London, São Paulo and Luxembourg. He is a public accountant with a degree in Financial Administration from Campos Salles University in Brazil and has a diploma in the Top Management program from IPADE in Mexico. Since 2022, Luiz serves as a member of the Board of the Mexican Mining Chamber.
