Paul Weedon

Paul Weedon is a senior geologist with more than 30 years of international mining industry experience in exploration, development and production in Africa and Australasia. Prior to joining Fortuna Mining Corp., Paul was Exploration Director, Australia, at Newmont Mining. Before that he was Newmont’s Exploration Director, Ghana, for more than five years. Over that period he led the team that discovered the +2 Moz Apensu underground deposit. Paul also held the positions of VP, Business Development, Africa, and Geology Manager, West Africa, with AngloGold Ashanti. He holds a BSc in Geology from Curtin University of Technology in Australia. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG).
