Peter McLean

Peter McLean is the General Manager, Operations at the Séguéla Mine, which is operated by Roxgold Sango, the Côte d’Ivoire-based subsidiary of Fortuna Mining Corp. Peter joined Roxgold in 2022 as the Mine Manager at Séguéla and has been responsible for the successful startup and development of the mining operations and the mine technical team at that site. He has 40 years of experience in the planning, technical support and operation of open pit mines across several jurisdictions, including Oceana, south-east Asia, Africa and South America.  His experience spans several mineral commodities including coal, diamonds, nickel, mineral sands, iron ore, copper and gold. Peter holds a bachelor degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Deakin University in Australia.
